Pre-Conference Workshops
Pre-Conference workshop is 4-hour or 9-hour (including lunch) interactive meeting or educational session, that occur one day before the annual meeting. Pre-conference workshops will be offered at additional cost to the registered participants of ISEE 2024 Meeting.

Keynote Presentation – Plenary Sessions
Sessions for the presentations of keynote speakers & the winner of the ISEE Goldsmith Award (45 minutes each).

Symposia
Symposia are 90-minute discussion sessions that bring together experts to delve into specific topics. These sessions involve interactive discussions with the audience. A symposium will consist of 4 or 5 presenters; a maximum of 2 of them could be remote presenters. The rest of the presenters and the chair(s) are required to attend the conference in-person.

Traditional Oral Sessions
These 90-minute sessions feature presentations based on accepted abstracts. Each abstract presenter is allocated 12 minutes for their presentation and 3 minutes for discussion. In-person attendance is required.

Flash Oral Sessions
Short oral presentations with 5 minutes of presentation time + 2 minutes of Q&A. In-person attendance is required

Pecha Kucha Sessions
A recent tradition at ISEE Annual Conferences, Pecha Kucha presentations are rapid-fire, with each presenter given 5 minutes, including Q&A (12 slides – 20 seconds per slide, plus 1 minute Q&A time). In-person attendance is required.

Virtual-Only Oral Sessions

These 90-minute online sessions, based on accepted abstracts, feature prerecorded presentations. Each presenter has a 12-minute presentation slot and a 3-minute discussion period. Presenters can participate in Q&A sequences during the session.

Oral Poster Discussions
These discussion sessions focus on selected posters grouped by specific topics/subtopics. A brief (maximum 2 minutes) overview of each poster is provided before the discussion segment. All discussion posters will be printed in hard copies and displayed on traditional poster boards. In-person attendance is required.

E-Posters
E-posters are displayed on the e-poster kiosks and virtual e-poster platform at all times, ordered by poster numbers assigned based on themes. Presenting your e-poster to the audience during the virtual meeting is not possible. However, each e-poster features a chat box function, allowing conference participants to ask questions about your e-poster. Regardless of in-person or virtual attendance of the presenter, all accepted poster abstracts for ISEE 2024 will be e-posters (if they are not selected for oral poster discussions).
